Alessandro Vavassori
Alessandro Vavassori, (Violin) first of the second violins of the Synphonic Orchestra of Rome. He is from Milan, has started to study violin at six years old, brillianting graduating at the "G.Nicolini" Academy of Music of Piacenza with Professor F.Cusano. He attended courses and Master classes held by P.Vernicov, A.Lonquich, F.Cusano, A.Carfi. He has cooperated with different orchestras such as La Scala's Philharmonic Orchestra, Pomeriggi Musicali, Milano Classica, The Arena of Verona, Royal Theatre of Parma and, from 1999 to 2001, he has played for the "G.Verdi" Synphonic Orchestra of Milan. He has played under the conduction of Abbado, Bacalov, Berio, Ceccato, Chailly, Gatti, Giergiev, Giulini, Jurvsky, Inbal, La Vecchia, Mazel, Muti, Pretre, Rostropovich, Tate and others. His musical interests lead him to the discovery of new sonorities such as Tango and A.Piazzolla's music. The argentinian company "Forever Tango" by Luis Bravo's, engaged him, as a substitute of the first violin soloist, during the italian tour at the Teatro Smeraldo in Milan and at the Sistina in Rome. In consequence of this experience, he has founded the "Quinteto Caminito", with which he has performed in many italian theatres and concert halls and at the Auditorium of Milan with two live radio concerts on Rai Tre. He works and cooperates with world-famous bandeonists like: Adrover, Stroscio, Mosalini, Nisinman, Pereyra. With this last one, in 2005, he played in quartet with M.Brunello and D.Rossi, live radio for the 1st of May celebration. He is a violin professor at the Arts Academy of Rome Foundation.
