Giovanni Rinaldi


He graduated with flying colours in double bass guided by Master V. Calamita, specializing subsequently with Master L. Salvi, G.P. Simoncini and Y. Goilav. He has played with important orchestra such as : the R.A.I. of Milan, the Philharmonic Mediterranean Orchestra, the Junge Schweizer Philharmonic and as first double bass with the International Orchestra of Italy, the Orchestra of the Provincial Administration of Bari, the Orchestra of theatre Petruzzelli of Bari. Since 1988 he has been collaborating with National Academy Orchestra of Santa Cecilia in Roma where he has played with Directors like: L. Bernstein, C.M. Giulini, G. Pretre, G. Sinopoli, D. Gatti, V. Gergiev, W. Sawallish, C. Thielemann, M.W. Chung. He collaborates with groups and chamber orchestra like Collegium Musicum (Bari), Solisti Dauni (Foggia), Solisti Aquilani (Aquila) and has made tours in Europe, Asia and South America, recordings of wireless programs R.A.I. and discographic recordings, the last one with Four For Tango group. Member of commission in competition, he has kept specialization courses in Molfetta (Bari), Monte san Savino (Arezzo), Falerone (Ascoli Piceno), Lanciano (Chieti). He has studied composition and he has begun the study of Direction of Orchestra with R. Duarte and J. Kalmar; afterwards he graduated in Direction of Orchestra at the Pescarese Musical Academy. Besides numerous camera formation, he has conducted a group of string of the Festival Musicale Piceno, and the Orchestra of Magna Grecia, symphony "U. Giordano" of Foggia, Orchestra of A.GI.MUS., symphony of Plovdiv and Shoumen (Bulgaria), philharmonic of Satu Mare (Romania), Orchestra of Petruzzelli theatre; he has also conducted the H.Swarowsky Orchestra in the opera “Don Pasquale” by G. Donizetti, and the Camera Orchestra of Pescara in the opera “Tutti in Maschera” by C. Pedrotti. In 1997, with the ” Auditorium” orchestra, he has conducted in first absolute performance, the musical story “La Scuola degli Incantesimi” by the young roman composer F. Antonioni, receiving a token of esteem from M° Azio Corghi. Teaches double bass at the Conservatory of Bari.
